Eulenburg Orchestral Series (EOS) available from Breitkopf & Härtel
As of 21 March 2012 Breitkopf & Härtel is taking over from Schott Music the distribution and printing of the performance materials of the Eulenburg Orchestral Series (EOS). A new EOS catalogue has already been issued by Breitkopf & Härtel. Revised retail prices apply as of the same date, which is also the starting date of the Frankfurt Music Fair.
The program of the Eulenburg Orchestral Series comprises text-critical editions of repertory works, in particular from composers of the Baroque era (Monteverdi, Charpentier, Pachelbel, Corelli, Purcell, Campra, Vivaldi, Handel, Locatelli a. o.) and the Romantic era (Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Respighi a. o.). Supplementary items to these works, such as piano reductions and study scores, are available from 21 March 2012 both from Breitkopf & Härtel and from Schott Music.
“We are delighted that the acknowledged competence of the international brand Eulenburg – the largest portfolio of study scores – will be in the hands of a strong distributor in the field of practical orchestral materials in the future, Breitkopf & Härtel,” says Dr. Rainer Mohrs, Schott’s editor-in-chief. With this transfer, which had long been planned by both publishers, Schott and Breitkopf are also manifesting the intent to cooperate more strongly in the field of orchestral materials in the future. “Our objective for the future is to supplement further Eulenburg study scores with complete performing materials,” adds Eva-Maria Hodel, editor-in-chief at Breitkopf & Härtel.
